GIVE SOMETHING ‘BENEFIT’ EVEN BEFORE YOUR CUSTOMER THINK OF IT

One time, I got a call from a Cable TV Provider that offering to re-instal the Cable TV for the house that I had just rented. They told me that the previous tenant had ever installed it with them and the wire had still been there, so that it would be quicker to re-instal rather than make a new installation at a house location where there were no other hardware installation in the neighborhood and would be costly.

 

The services from offering me politely through phone call (it’s depend on who is the salesperson behind of the cold-calling sales), installing at home until visiting of the marketing person come to finalize some administration  could be said PERFECT. Those were about customer servicing manner of the company. However, in this article, I just want to emphasize after got some senses of their services that  how they have given some benefit (tangible and intangible)  even before I think of  to request other benefits.

 

For instance, they had given another benefit for the customer to keep a certain service would  be owned by customer even once the customer wanted to disconnect the installation. Without question, the customer had automatically  calculated how much profit the company should have gained from the certain service given free if the customer had terminated the Cable TV service. But the company had kept  their service after leasing termination by leaving the certain service to be owned by the customer free, even until the customer had not been their customer.

 

What was the effect of it? They had given some benefit to their customers even before their customers thought of it to request. Then the customer had a feel about the company’s loss as it had been given  free to them. It had touched the customer’s heart to think of the company’s kindness how the company has thought of the customer’s side in advance. It had left a nice impression of their brand. It was not only the brand awareness as the high quality service come up in their customers, but the appreciation of the company to the customer had  touched customer’s heart and left  a nice impression. Consequently, it has put the brand as the company’s image as the hiqh quality service. Those might be spread to other potential customers because of  the word mouth advertising from the satisfied customer.

 

Therefore, not only how to keep the all employees integrate all things to meet the satisfactory service for customers, but thinking to give some benefit for customers even before your customer think of  to request more benefit from you is the nice path to lead your brand image in the highest position among your competitors.
